Skinny has dropped prices for its endless mobile data plans by 50% in its latest promotion.

Running until 11 August, new customers will pay half price on their endless data plan of choice for the first three payments. The offer only applies to those on one of Skinny’s 4-weekly prepay plans so its weekly endless data plan is not included in the promotion.

The promotion means customers could save as much as $105 in total, depending on their chosen plan.

Here’s a summary of Skinny’s current endless data mobile plans:

$40 plan (drops to $20 for three months with promotion). Includes

  • 10 GB data at maximum speed
  • Endless data beyond that cap at reduced speeds
  • Unlimited minutes and texts to NZ and AU

$50 plan (drops to $25 for three months with promotion). Includes:

  • 20 GB data at maximum speed
  • Endless data beyond that cap at reduced speeds
  • Unlimited minutes and texts to NZ and AU

$70 plan (drops to $35 with promotion). Includes:

  • 80 GB data at maximum speed
  • Endless data beyond that cap at reduced speeds
  • Unlimited minutes and texts to NZ and AU

Skinny’s runs on Sparks network and all plans include 5G. However, 5G is not available NZ-wide so check your area for coverage if access to the fastest mobile speeds is important to you.

Unfortunately, this offer is limited to new customers only. Check out the offer’s other terms and conditions here.

Skinny’s $40 endless mobile plan was found to be one of the best value plans around in Banked’s guide to the best mobile plans for students. Not including the current promotion, the guide found that there were cheaper unlimited data plans out there (such as a $30 per month plan from Rocket Mobile), but that Skinny performed strongly overall and included faster speeds than some of its competitors.

Skinny was named the best mobile provider in a Consumer NZ survey back in December 2023. Users ranked the provider especially highly for overall satisfaction and value for money.
